The completion of the 5 star Fairmont Pacific Rim marks a significant milestone in the redevelopment of the Coal Harbour waterfront. This project strives to achieve a balance between the largest floor plate in Canada and the contextual characteristics inherent to a prime waterfront location. The approach involved segmenting the overall massing into distinct yet cohesive volumes that are enhanced with artworks, textures and materials; allowing for a play of light and shadow throughout the day.
